Painting process (sketch~one layer at a time~then the details). Voilà! It’s done, and ready to go in my wife’s office @ MOD SKIN STUDIO . I recently did a painting for my wife Haley in a vector style, which sold in a week, so this the replacement.

A New Medium

I have been practicing a new medium, METAL & WELDING! & I like it! Thank you Bobby T. for showing me the ropes (can’t take credit for L B weld, Bobby did that part)! First project, raised food bowl for Le Beau my PUP (also featured in the photos).

Well I had BIG intention to use my new space I created in garage, but simply if it is not convenient, you just don’t seem to use it! (Speaking for myself of course!) I have found new inspiration, which is probably the most important thing for inspiring artist. Not in what to create in art but how to find it through my soul, heart, and lastly mind. I have also moved my Art Space up to our home office. I have been doing weekly art Skype session with a friend “Tim Duong” (an amazing artist & person). SO I will upload more art tomorrow! I have been trying to do a new piece once a week at the very least. Thank you viewers for your patience.

The Art Studio has been done…. But today I decided to use my new space!

Here are a few pictures of the stages when I built my art studio.

Day One

Second day and still looks like chaos!!!!

The FINAL result was worth it! The painting on the 8 foot easel was the painting I worked on today (well not technically because it’s past midnight). A piece I started in July 2009, and finally came back to! The first painting since 2006.

Update on what I have been up to…

Like many of you out there, I have been busy for the holidays and new years. With in the last couple of days I have been working on transforming my wood shop garage into an art studio! I have built two easels, one for average size canvases and the other for very large canvases, which I am currently installing. I also hung a special light, I got from my Uncle a long time ago, which seems to give just the right light for painting. Almost done!!!! I plan on posting pictures soon. Until then have a Great Day,and Happy New Year!!!

I felt like adding something new to my Blog Site, and thought a self portrait would be a good start since I haven’t done anything new since my last posts. It is a pencil piece I did in 2004, an older piece but new to you, the viewer!
